Thanks for your feedback my friends...
The next vehicle is also a "Tank Hunter." ROCO actually introduced the base model as the Prototype that was built in 1942. I chose to build a late version with the improved long 75mm gun. On the base model, the engine deck shields were molded in so in order to show the late model without the armored skirts I had to use the rear deck from a Mk. IV battle tank. The rest is fine details and paint with a slight patina.

This vehicle won 1st place in the Military category, 1/48 and smaller scale, in 2004. (IPMS sponsored meet)

Hello friends, thank you for your supportive comments
This next model is also a Tank Hunter that was developed in conjunction with the previous model. The Vomag firm did the previous design and the Alkett firm did the design for this version, with 278 being completed by the end of the war. As you can see there are similarities but the overall construction on this one was quite a bit more complicated. I won't bore you with details except to say, this model was born out of desperation, there being none available so I had to be creative in order to achieve my goal of having one in my collection.

Thanks a lot Denis and Eddy, Once again a model that was unavailable years ago when I built this one. The base model is the adp model of the Ford V3000 Truck from the late war period. I was using a wartime photograph as a modeling guide to build an accurate reproduction. The 2 cm AA gun is of course the Preiser model and my friend Paul Heiser of Lakewood Military Models poured the resin tracks to complete the conversion from 3Ton truck to Half track. Only a few years later this model was released commercially and I no longer had to scratch.

Hello Max and Merry Christmas!
I am running out of things to post so I must return to the bench and get busy with new creations. Unfortunately I am
in a bit of a "slump"...with numerous projects in various stages I just seem to have run out of motivation.
Perhaps in the New Year I will feel differently.....

Thanks for the comments friends.....and Eddy, just so you know, Rommel is still in the package, hanging out with all of his Historical acquaintances. I purchased this set many years ago and have not had the heart to open it and use its contents, someday...

Thanks Olivier, Yes, this pack of figures was available for a limited time and then discontinued...I see them on eBay once in awhile but they go for a pretty handsome price...$30 - $50 USD......another reason I hesitate to open the packaging.
Thank You for your interest,
Rick

Salut.
Jacques.

Of course, but look closely at the silhouette of Phineas T. Barnum and Churchill at the ho, you could confuse them!!!!
