Hello Friends,
I have moved slowly as you can see. The first light wash is on and wheels and tires fitted. It is starting to look like the picture I posted. I see from the close up photo that there are a few things I need to fix before proceeding further along.

Here is the build thread I promised to put up when I posted my "Big" shovel on the Weekly theme...
The base kits for this build were the ROCO Honest John Missile launcher (for its correct wheel base chassis). The ROCO Corbitt (for its cab) And the WIKING Shovel that was a leftover from one of the POLA buildings under construction .

Next was the Tire rack and Cab modifications to allow the boom to rest for transport. Then modification of the shovel chassis and finally the shovel house needed upgrading.

Moving right along!

I like it very much.
It would be even more beautiful with the cables... but I think they are already installed.

Not yet on the cables.....I'm trying to get enough courage to try this. it will be my first attempt!

There is progress on the Ford Eifel!....a new gray coat. Next some interior detail painting and perhaps the soft top after that.

Here is the final result. No patina on this "baby".....might do it later on, but for now it is finished.
